Motivated by the desire for excellent results at the GCE and convinced that as professionals they could do a better job, a group of seasoned teachers decided to start a secondary school in August 2008. In March 2009, the ministry recognized the school as Saint Michael Academy of Science and Arts (SMASA). Since then the school has produced excellent results and has graduates all over the world some benefiting from scholarships in American universities. SMASA in 2017 ventured into commercial education and in 2019, we started St Michael Higher institute of professional studies (SHIPS). In the pipeline is a purely industrial section of the school for the training of middle engineers in building , woodwork, electrical and electronics, Agriculture , surveying, food sciences and mechanical engineering.
